I congratulate you on
creating a site for Bhojpuri. The local languages of India are dying
out because of the popularity of the standard Hindi. We need similar
sites for Hindi dialects like Brij Bhasha, Bundelkhandi, Awadhi etc.
Only one request. Allahabad, Baharaich etc. are not Bhojpuri areas at
all. Why do claim it is so? This is factually wrong. A lot of Bhojpuri
speaking people are settled in these areas, but does it make them a
Bhojpuri area.
This act of yours amounts to cultural robbery. Even an act like
awarding a non-Bhojpuri icon like Amitabh Bachchan the "Bhojpuri icon"
award smacks of dirty politics.
Bhojpuri people don't need to resort to aggressive stealing of
cultures. They have a great history and culture of their own area. I
hope you will stop this cultural imperialism.
